Trying to push my skills at blacks to the limit here as well as learning to create better buildings. I wouldn't necessarily say my problems with buildings is that they're organic but more that they're....fluffy. They tend to have a bouncy feel to them and rarely are very rigid. You can crash into them and reasonably assume from the look of them that you will be able to stand up, brush some of the dust off, then go about your business. With these 2 pages I aimed to fix some of that without losing the organic and living touch I have been giving them and to my eyes it seems like I made great headway with them.

You'll also be able to notice I did a bit of stealing here as well with the way I lit that cigar from Sean Murphy. He has a very striking way of pulling that type of lighting and effect off in Hellblazer and I figure I better take some of that and run with it myself. I'm sure he has taken countless techniques from the artists he admires and hope he'd be flattered rather than angry if he ever were to take notice of this.
