Robinson Crusoe GN Cover

Description

So the plan has been changed for Robinson Crusoe in the 6th Dimension to go straight to graphic novel and use the final cover as the cover for it. To be honest I'm unsure which I would prefer to be it's cover, this illustration or the cover for the first issue.

I wasn't sure what to do with this color wise until I remembered the cover for issue 2 that wasn't used and realized how much I loved it's colors so I brought some of it back into this one.

It's interesting looking back and seeing as I slowly changed her design through out the story. Originally, while busty, still much more slim and "regular" but as I drew her I slowly gave her more of her own particular body type. With Robin, I wanted her to be attractive but not generic. Strong, yet soft as well. Someone who was a bit out of the mold. I don't like how comic women are portrayed with little variance between them (and definitely the same goes for men) but I don't want to be that type of artist. When you put a comic woman in generic clothing without color, can you tell them apart? That's how I tell whether I did a good job or not.

Hope you like, and the book is being sent out to the printers as soon as possible. I'll let anyone interested know when I have more info on how to buy it. Desmond's been a definite pleasure to work with and hope we can work together on another Robinson Crusoe book as (spoiler alert) it's only the beginning of Robin's story ;-)
